Jo’s Free vintage Bingoboard
Jo’s free vintage Bingo Board is a simple straight forward interactive display for classic 75-ball bingo numbers. It has a vintage slightly old school vibe and smell to it. And if you don’t have an own bingo machine or don’t want to use one, it can also pull random numbers for you.
Here is how it works:
The vintage Bingo Board (above).
- You need to download the latest executable file. (Link below).
- You can run the executable of the bat, you don’t need to install anything.
- As soon as you’ve double clicked the file, two windows will pop up.
- On the bigger one, you should see the actual vintage board (above). This is supposed to be looked at by the bingo playing audience. Preferably you have a designated screen for this, a separate TV or projector. You can move this window by clicking and dragging it around and placing it on the intended screen. If you double click it, it gets full screen. Double clicking it again reverses this. This panel is supposed to run on a screen with a resolution round about 1920 x 1080 px and the display should be set to 100% scale. If you run high dpi screens, i would recommend setting all of them to 100% scale first and eventually lower the resolution to avoid display inconsistencies.
- The other is the control panel (below). The control panel isn’t necessarily meant to be looked at by the audience. This is where the host marks the chosen numbers, starts a new game or triggers the pause function. It can also be clicked and dragged around in the little free space between the number buttons and the other bigger buttons on the right. It can’t be maximized tough.
- The bingo board will start in Play mode. This is the default state of the board and this means you can start right away. If you use your own bingo machine, you can simply start ticking the chosen numbers on the control panel.
- The last chosen number will be marked green on the control panel and will be flashing on the vintage bingo board. All previous numbers will be marked white on the control panel and will be static on the board.
- The Bingo Letter on the left will indicate the row of the last chosen number.
- If you accidentally marked a wrong number, you can simply unmark it and correct your mistake.
- If you don’t have an own bingo machine, don’t panic, Jo’s free vintage Bingo Board has you covered. Simply hit the ‘GET NUMBER’ button and the board will randomly pull the next number for you.
- And if you like to take a break, you can switch to ‘PAUSE’ mode. This will temporarily disable the control panel’s number- and ‘GET NUMBER’ buttons and the vintage board will enter a light control test mode for the time being. As soon as you hit ‘UN-PAUSE’ you can continue your round of Bingo.
- As soon as somebody claims to have BINGO, you press the “BINGO !!!” Button. The Bingo Letters will enter an active celebration pattern and if you have the sound active, the board will play a celebration jingle. The Numbers on the board will stay visible, so you can verify if the Bingo is correct or not. Depending on if it was a legit Bingo, you can hit ‘NEW GAME’ or ‘RESUME-GAME’.
- The little speaker Button is a toggle which enables or disables the Bingo- jingle. Your choice.
- The ‘NEW GAME’ button will erase all the ticked numbers and start a new game. So please don’t hit this before you have double checked if the called ‘Bingo’ is actually legit.
- The ‘EXIT’ button will close both, the control panel as well as the vintage board.
